About the Position: 

Organizational Data Management

  • Collaborate with organization and department leadership to ensure efficient and effective data collection to inform data-driven outcomes.
  • Ensure Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) through data collection, data integrity, and outcome measure reporting.
  • Optimize use of available technology to eliminate paper record keeping, reduce redundancy, and increase efficiency.
  • Ensure effective data tracking to support billing, contract compliance, and to best articulate Lund’s services and vision to constituents.
  • Deliver comprehensive internal and external reports that are accurate and timely.
  • Review and challenge current processes to ensure streamlined, accurate, and necessary data tracking and documentation standards.

Program Support Team Management

  • Supervises program support team and oversees quality assurance, data management and reporting, and grant and contract compliance.
  • Assess and manage client billing efforts to maximize billing opportunities.
  • Manage staff credentialing with insurers and engage new insurers when applicable.

Systems Management

  • Collaborate with department leadership to assess current systems, optimize useability in relation to data collection and reporting, and implement new processes as applicable.
  • Coordinate data across multiple systems to reduce repetition and optimize usability.
  • Oversee data entry policies, and the ongoing management of data integrity related to systems.
  • Work with departments to streamline workflows and optimize utilization of systems.

NetSmart myEvolv and add-on products

  • Work with Program Support Team and program staff to identify and execute electronic health record (EHR) system enhancement requests.
  • Oversee and conduct engaging and informative EHR trainings for new and current staff.
  • Coordinate and maintain EHR user manuals and training guides.
  • Lead the EHR support team to ensure superior customer service is provided.
  • Ensure EHR system and uses meet all Federal and State laws, regulations, procedures and policies.
  • Key point person to communicate with EHR vendor and manage invoicing and service contracts.
  • Manage the implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Manage the overall functionality of the EHR system and add-on products/services. 
  • Communicate any changes or outages within the EHR system.
  • Collaborate with community partners about EHR resources and updates.
  • Effectively collaborate with leadership and program staff.
  • Assist with quality assurance and audit/licensing visits as applicable.

What We Look For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-4 years relevant direct work experience within a healthcare-related industry; behavioral health preferred.
  • 2-3 years minimum experience with healthcare compliance
  • Experience in medical billing and coding with concentrated knowledge of Medicaid and Vermont private insurance billing for substance use and/or mental health.
  • Experience with new payer contracting preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year using and managing an EHR platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams.
  • Valid VT Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation required; statewide travel may be required
  • Upon conditional offer of employment, must be able to successfully pass a background investigation.
